Survey of newly arrived residents and of persons moving away

If you move to or from the City of Zurich, we ask you to take part in this survey. Your information is very helpful and serves to improve the quality of life in the City of Zurich and to provide the basis for housing policy.

Knowing the motives and the situation of those moving in and out is an important information for our housing policy. For this reason, appropriate surveys were carried out in 2005, 2009, 2012 and 2016 by Urban Development Zurich in cooperation with the population office. From 2023, a corresponding survey will no longer be carried out on site in the district offices, but via the Internet. The first results with the new survey methodology should be available from the second half of 2023.
