Talking together about the future of cemeteries
Zurich's cemeteries are changing. This also raises questions for their future: How should cemeteries continue to develop? What role should they play in the future? And what is important to you?
At the local echo chamber, we would like to explore these questions together with you. To kick things off, we will explore the Witikon cemetery on a walk and take a look at different areas. Afterwards, you will learn more about the "Future of Zurich Cemeteries" project and about current developments around the cemeteries.
Your perspective is needed
Then contribute your experiences, concerns and ideas: What do you associate with Zurich's cemeteries? What is important to you in their future development?
In exchange with other participants, we collect and discuss different perspectives and recommendations. The results will be incorporated into the further strategy process.
We look forward to the joint exchange!
A look behind the scenes: Voluntary guided tour
Would you like to learn more about different burial rituals and their meaning? After the event, interested parties will have the opportunity to get to know the Muslim burial ground of the Witikon cemetery and the associated washroom during a voluntary tour. You will learn more about Muslim burial rituals and their significance and gain a vivid insight into the processes involved in ritual washing and burial on the Muslim burial ground.
When registering, please indicate whether you would like to take part in the tour.
