Im Quartier unterwegs mit Kofferkameras

Kinder und Jugendliche erforschen ihr Quartier mit einer uralten fotografischen Technik. Auf ihre Expeditionen nehmen sie eine Grossformatkamera in Form eines Reiseköfferchens mit. Wir entwickeln die Bilder sofort in einer mobilen Dunkelkammer. Die Ergebnisse sind für die Juniorfotograf*innen, für uns und für die späteren Bewunderer*innen der Bilder oft überraschend. Arbeiten mit solchen Kameras ist langsam. Es braucht Konzentration und etwas Verständnis des fotografischen Handwerks. Trotzdem schaffen das Kinder ab etwa 5 Jahren und auch Anfänger*innen problemlos. Unser Projekt ist nomadisch. Wir bauen an verschiedenen Orten ein Basislager auf: Ein Dunkelkammerzelt und einen Stand mit Kofferkameras. Wer mitmachen möchte, lässt sich alles erklären, leiht sich eine Kamera aus, zieht los und macht ein einziges Bild. Wir entwickeln dieses sofort und besprechen es. Anschliessend kann man mit einer frisch bestückten Kamera zu neuen Expeditionen aufbrechen. Im Herbst zeigen wir die Bilder in einer Ausstellung. Gelegenheit für Juniorfotograf*innen, von ihren fotografischen Abenteuern zu berichten und Geschichten aus dem Quartier zu erzählen.
