Projekt Sattelfescht

SATTELFESCHT ist ein spezifisches Veloförderungsprojekt für Jugendliche mit besonderem Fokus auf jungen Frauen*, also FLINTAQ Personen (d.h. Frauen, Lesben, inter, Non-binär, trans, asexuell und queer). SATTELFESCHT schliesst jedoch andere Identitäten nicht von der Teilnahme aus. Damit ist gemeint, dass das Projekt so aufgebaut und mit passenden Schlüsselpersonen ausgestattet werden soll, sodass sich FLINTAQ Personen wohl fühlen und Hürden der Teilnahme möglichst abgebaut werden (nicht nur cis-männliche Velomechaniker oder Velokurier als Schlüsselpersonen engagieren). An drei verschiedenen Umsetzungstagen werden «POP UP Velocheckpoints» in der Stadt Zürich durchgeführt, welche 3 Posten mit aufeinander aufbauenden Foki beinhalten: - Sensibilisierungs-Posten: «Veloinfo»: Eine Velokurier:in klärt über die Verkehrstauglichkeit und Verkehrssicherheit von Velos auf und gibt einen Crashkurs in Veloanatomie: Informationen über die nötigen Komponenten (Benennung der Komponenten und deren unterschiedlichen Klassen (Campagnolo, Shimano etc.)) für ein verkehrstaugliches Velo, die richtige Rahmengrösse, Satteleinstellung, Themen wie Helm, Velo Lichter und Reflektoren, wichtigste Regeln für mehr Sicherheit im Strassenverkehr. - «Material-Check» Posten: Hier wird der Zustand des eigenen Velos der Teilnehmer:innen analysiert: Die Velomechaniker:in geht mit der jugendlichen Person das ganze Velo durch und macht einen Materialcheck. Falls etwas mangelt, fehlt oder nicht vorhanden ist, wird dies auf einem Block notiert, um dies beim nächsten Posten anzupassen. Es soll ein gutes und schlechtes Velo-Beispiel am Posten vorhanden sein, um Vergleiche zu ziehen. - «Velowerkstatt» Posten: Die Velomechaniker:in zeigt den Jugendlichen, die wichtigsten Reparatur-Skills, welche von Laien bewältigt werden können und vermitteln damit praktisches, mechanisches Handwerk. Das Ziel ist es, dass die Jugendlichen Reparaturen in Zukunft selber ausführen können.
