Essbarer Nachbarschaftsgarten Ettenfeld

Auf einer Kleinparzelle in Zürich Seebach (SE6459, 2‘485 m2) soll unter Einbeziehung der Anwohner_innen und lokaler Akteur_innen ein naturnaher, essbarer Nachbarschaftsgarten entwickelt werden. Durch eine Zonierung, gezielte Pflegearbeiten und diverse Pflanzungen sollen auf der Fläche Bereiche entstehen, welche zur Förderung der Biodiversität und der Aufwertung des Mikroklimas dienen, sowie den Anwohner_innen Möglichkeiten zum Erholen, Naschen, Spielen und Lernen bieten. 
Insbesondere in den Randbereichen können extensiv bewirtschaftete Hecken und Wiesen vielfältige Biotope anbieten und Bezug zum angrenzenden Katzenbach herstellen. Durch die Pflanzung von Obst, Beeren und Nüssen werden Anwohner_innen zur Selbsternte eingeladen, wobei Infotafeln zur vorhandenen Flora & Fauna den Zugang zur Fläche erleichtern. Eine regelmässig gemähte Wiese mit zentralem Sitzplatz und naturnahen Gestaltungselementen soll zudem Raum für Erholung und Erlebnisse bieten. 
Durch Infoveranstaltungen sowie angeleitete, partizipative Einsätze werden Interessierte von der Vorbereitung über die Umsetzung bis hin zur Pflege in das Projekt einbezogen.
