Trees for the Weans

I was informed of the acceptance and thus my permission to engage with this project on 2nd August 2021 by Stadt Zurich, and gratefully received the requested funds of 7200 shortly afterwards. In late 2021, I attempted to kick start this project by seeking collaboration and guidance from the good people at Stadt Zurich. However, on Monday 7th February 2022 I received communication from the Stadt Zurich informing me that I was not permitted to go ahead with the project as it violated the policy their department. Despite some light protesting emails in return from my side, the steadfast principles of our friends at Stadt Zurich would not become malleable, even for a project as well intentioned and honest as this one. I could have argued my case further, but failed to do so as my the personal time I could commit to this project had decreased. I undertook a new and more demanding role in my workplace in early 2022. Thus, after communicating my complications to the extremely helpful and understanding project team, I returned the funds to the city government (August 2022) and terminated this project. C'est la vie.
