Ideas for Zurich
How do I find fellow campaigners or how can I join an existing idea?
Our experience has shown that active networking in the neighborhood can be crucial for many ideas.
... you are looking for fellow campaigners to implement your idea together with you?
First of all, it is important that you mention this clearly in your idea description. Use activating language ("Join in!", "Let's create something together") to motivate other city dwellers. Also, show that you are open to developing your idea with new collaborators. If you suddenly have a lot of people who would like to implement the idea, it is worthwhile to start thinking about a structure. You can find more information here.
How can you see who would like to join your idea? Have a look at your idea on the platform. Interested people can click on "Join" and will be listed under your idea description in the "List of Participants". If you hover your mouse over their profile, you can send messages directly through the platform. Also pay attention to the fact that you might be contacted. You will see contact requests at the top of the menu when the envelope glows yellow and also be notified via email. These emails often end up in the spam folder, so it is important to mark the messages as "Not Spam".
... you want to join an idea?
If you see an idea that you would like to join, you can click on "Join" in the box on the left. You will then be listed in the "list of participants", so the person who gave the idea will see that you are interested and can contact you directly. Alternatively, you can also contact the idea giver directly: Hover your mouse over the name of the idea giver. A menu with additional information about the profile will appear. Select "Send private message" there.
With a private message you will be notified twice: you will see contact requests at the top of the menu when the envelope glows yellow and also be notified via email. These emails often end up in the spam folder, so it is important to mark the messages as "Not spam".
