The first dialogue event took place on Monday evening, December 2, 2024 in the presence of city councillors Simone Brander, Dr. André Odermatt and Daniel Leupi at the Hotel Spirgarten in Altstetten. At the event, the Office for Urban Development provided information about the upcoming process and received concerns and questions from the population about the development planning of the Schlachthof site. The event was very well attended and exciting discussions could be held.

The following concerns were considered by the people present at the dialogue event to be particularly important for the future development of the site:

  • Open space and meeting places without compulsory consumption

  • Lively neighbourhood for all with low-threshold offers

  • Affordable commercial premises

The documentation of the dialogue event includes answers to all the questions raised by the dialogue groups at the event as well as information on how to deal with the also formulated by the dialogue groups for the test planning. The documentation of the dialogue event is part of the test planning program.
