Schipferhof 2027
Future orientation of the farm "Schipferhof" in Wollishofen
The tender for the Schipferhof 2027 was published in Bioaktuell and in the Bauernzeitung. The announcement and the presentation of the 1st Advisory Group Meeting are available for download on the participation page. A rough concept can be submitted until 15 November.
About this process
The Schipferhof is an agricultural enterprise of the city of Zurich. It is managed by the Sierts Braun family. They will end their lease due to retirement at the end of 2026.
The farm will be re-leased from 2027. Which uses and offers there will then be must now be determined.
The residents of Wollishofen are invited to help shape the future direction of the farm.
The City of Zurich owns 11 farms, which are leased. One of them is the Schipferhof in Wollishofen. It has been managed by Christian Sierts and Barbara Braun since 1990. As a result of their retirement, they will terminate the lease on 31 December 2026. As part of the 2016 Agriculture Report, Grün Stadt Zürich has determined that the farm will subsequently be realigned.
The Schipferhof is strongly anchored in Wollishofen. The farm shop is well frequented (by old) and the sandpit and the small tractors with pedal drive are actively used (by young). With the announcement of the change, fears arose in Wollishofen that the company could disappear. However, the Green City of Zurich has the opposite intentions.
The concerns and needs of the local population are an important basis for the future orientation of the company.
The people of Wollishof are invited to help shape the future of the farm.
To this end, a public event with workshops took place on November 18, 2023.
The results of this event will be further processed and will be incorporated
- into the rough concept for the new Schipferhof.
- into the tender for the lease of the Schipferhof
- in the construction project "Renovation/Extension Schipferhof"
