The project development phase for the 26 selected ideas starts!

The public voting has been completed, the expert jury has met – and the decision has been made: 26 ideas have made it into the project development phase!

The selection is based on over 6,600 votes from the public voting and the evaluation by the expert jury. Both elements were equally included in the final result. Among other things, the transformative impact, feasibility, added value for the neighbourhood and contribution to the net zero target were assessed.

Why 26 ideas?

Actually, there was always talk of 25 ideas. In addition, however, there is the wildcard of the Climathon 2025, which took place in the Binz and was intended to generate targeted ideas for the participatory budget. Winning this wildcard meant skipping the first voting phase directly and moving on to the project development phase. That's why we're now looking forward to a total of 26 selected ideas.

We congratulate the 26 selected idea generators!

At the same time, we would like to express our thanks to all those who came up with the idea and whose suggestions did not make any progress. We were impressed by the diversity, creativity and motivation of the ideas submitted and show how much commitment and potential there is in the district. Every single idea is a valuable contribution to the pilot district. Thank you very much for your time, your energy and your commitment.

The project team and the City of Zurich will also review all submitted ideas again for possible synergies with existing or future projects. For example, individual proposals could be pursued in other ways or integrated into appropriate initiatives. Regardless of this, we would like to encourage all idea providers to pursue and implement their ideas – if possible – outside the participatory budget.

Note: All idea providers have been informed about the result and the further course of their idea via the participation platform in the past few days. 

The project development phase starts

in three consecutive  project forges the selected ideas are further developed into feasible projects together with experts, coaches and other committed people.

Would you like to participate?

Many of the selected ideas need people who think, help organize, share their knowledge or help implement them. Perhaps you bring practical experience, valuable contacts, technical know-how, creative ideas or simply the motivation to actively shape your neighbourhood.
