Short summary

'as found' macht bestehende nachhaltige Initiativen und Netzwerke im Quartier sichtbar und zugänglich. Durch Mapping, Website und Infopunkte werden Bewohner*innen einfacher eingebunden. So werden vorhandene Strukturen gestärkt statt neue aufwendig aufgebaut.

What should be created?
'as found' means to follow the traces of the everyday, the found, and in doing so to advance to new insights and forms. While we are beginning to fulfil the idea of a net-zero neighbourhood with new offers and infrastructure, it is worth taking a look at existing neighbourhood initiatives and informal networks. For a long time, ideas have been pursued in the neighbourhood in all the topics called upon, which are worth uncovering and reinforcing. Whattsapp groups that swap clothes and everyday things, people who grow fruit and vegetables together in allotments and protect habitats, parent groups that accompany their children to school and daycare as pedibuses and thus avoid traveling... and many others. What established social practices are there in which more people from the neighbourhood can be involved? Will the better visibility of these stable networks achieve quick and lasting results that new initiative must painstakingly prepare? We propose to go on a search - with a mapping of the existing in order to provide previously uninformed people, newcomers, temporary residents with quick and direct access to established networks of sustainable initiatives. The mapping collection can be presented on its own website - or in the online cosmos of the pilot district - and continue to grow. A functional overview is supplemented by lively portraits and short ones by the creators. At a central location - e.g. at Binz train station, Manesseplatz and Kollerwiese - it is worth having an attractive info box with instant information and a QR code. So that it becomes widely known across all media how second-hand, food rescue and car-free life on a small scale is lived in the neighbourhood in a very practical way and everyone is invited to participate.
