What should be created?
A (transparent) textile cube for collecting (old) textiles: from the neighbourhood for the neighbourhood. The transparency of the collector's item makes it clear to everyone how big the mountain of clothes that is disposed of every day is. We sort, weigh, repair and record the clothes and pass them on to neighbourhood residents, second-hand shops, social institutions, textile recycling or, if not otherwise possible, for disposal. In the research project, we are interested in: How much of the textiles can be kept/passed on in the neighbourhood, how much of it in Zurich? How much of the goods is in good condition? How much of it is upcyclable and recyclable? There are workshops for young and old, and neighbourhood residents, school classes or interested parties can get involved in sorting, repairing or upcycling, helping and experiencing how textiles can be used for longer. We want to sensitize and inspire in a positive way and show the potential of local cycles.

Describe the place(s)
A large well-frequented square, e.g. Binz train station, but it could also be Rebhügel at the secondary school (adjacent garden). It could also take place in a shop with a shop window, or in a foyer of a large building, or even as a mobile object.
