Consolidate recycling spaces

What should be created?
Right now there are many places and ways to recycle different materials. I find this inefficient and wasteful. In particular the fact the for carton and paper you have to wait for the right day to do your recycling. What if we expanded the already existing "static" places (glass and metal centers) and added here recycling containers for carton and paper among others? Pet and plastic bottles can also be included? Ideally, just one place for all your recycling needs? Like that, people can recycle these items on demand and not when the truck collects them. Or when they go to the supermarket. These current alternative options can co-exist with what I am proposing but having one place for all your recycling needs is not only more practical but also more efficient. This should reduce truck trips, maintenance and man-hours and therefore also emissions !
Example
I used to live in Seattle, USA. That is how they do things over there.
