Directly on the way home.\nAn open climate garden for everyone is to be created in the quarter – a place to grow, meet and participate. Many city dwellers do not have access to a garden. At the same time, even simple foods such as herbs are often transported over long distances and elaborately packaged.\nThis is exactly where the climate garden comes in: local production of herbs and selected foods, less transport and packaging, and a climate-friendly everyday life in the neighbourhood. The biggest lever is that people experience directly how easy sustainable behavior can be in everyday life.\nThe garden is being built and operated together with the neighbourhood as a \"generation workshop\" – together with local stakeholders (including the church, school and interested residents).\nIntep and INTER ACT are developing and implementing the climate garden together with the neighbourhood: they are responsible for the construction and design of the garden, organise and accompany the implementation, integrate expertise (e.g. climate-resilient planting, water-saving irrigation, knowledge on the use of old herb varieties) and ensure a functioning and long-term operation.\nThe aim is to make it as easy as possible to get started – and to create a project that can also be implemented in other neighbourhoods.

\n
example
\n

As possible references, we recommend taking a look at the stadium wasteland (https://www.stadionbrache.ch/) or the Wilder Platz (https://www.wilderplatz.ch/).
