Im Mittelpunkt stehen Bücher die sensibilisieren und inspirieren – zu Ökologie, Nachhaltigkeit, Zusammenleben und den sozialen Dimensionen einer zukunftsfähigen Gesellschaft. Nebst zugänglichen Texten aus den Wissenschaften finden sich Erzählungen, Kinderbücher und Publikationen, die künstlerische Perspektiven auf diese Fragen eröffnen. In Form von Essays, Poesie und Prosa, sowie konkreten Anleitungen und wissenschaftlichen Texten wird ein möglichst diverses Publikum angesprochen. \n\nDie Nachhaltigkeitsbibliothek ist auch ein Raum für Begegnung zwischen Nachbar*innen. Ein common ground, in dem, nebst der Beschäftigung mit Büchern, Dialog entstehen kann. Dieser Ansatz orientiert das Raumkonzept: In Ergänzung zu Bücherregalen mit vereinzelten Sitzmöglichkeiten zum vertieften Lesen schwebt uns eine lange Tafel vor, an der Tee getrunken, sich ausgetauscht, skizziert und diskutiert werden kann, sowie ein Info-Board, an dem weitere Netto-Null-Projekte informieren können. Ausserhalb der Öffnungszeiten könnte der Ort zudem den Projekten des Pilotquartier Netto-Null als Treffpunkt oder Sitzungsraum dienen. Sie könnte auch an ein weiteres Projekt räumlich angeschlossen sein.\n\nDie Bibliothek soll an mindestens 2 Tagen die Woche geöffnet haben, z.B. Donnerstags und Sonntags von 14–20 Uhr. Zur Aktivierung des Ortes und der Bibliothek organisieren wir ein Mal im Monat eine Lesung, eine Buchbesprechung oder laden zu einem Workshop ein. Das Programm soll Aktivierungs-Vorschlägen aus anderen Netto-Null-Initiativen offenstehen.
