Idea selected – subject to conditions
What should be created?
In Binz, a neighbourhood swap is being created that extends the well-known principle of bookcases to everyday objects: residents can simply insert things they no longer need and others can take them with them free of charge. This makes sharing as low-threshold as possible - without any appointments or opening hours, directly in the neighbourhood. Specifically, an area with a vending machine/sharing module will be set up at each of three locations in the district, which can be filled by the population and at the same time used as a withdrawal point, like a large, visible platform for exchange. For example, lamps, furniture (parts), consumables (where useful), sports/seasonal items such as ice skates, as well as other well-preserved objects of daily life can be shared. The focus is on things that otherwise often sit around unused or are disposed of prematurely. The vending machine thus creates an attractive, local cycle: fewer new purchases, less waste, more reuse and a neighbourhood feeling in which resources are shared. WOP and #MoveTheDate design the concept, communication and operation in such a way that it works clearly, securely and in a way that is suitable for everyday use (simple rules on site, curated categories, regular checks if necessary). For any disposal, cooperation with the ERZ is sought.
