Asphalt bedeckt den Grossteil städtischer Böden und bringt erhebliche Nachteile mit sich: Er verwandelt Städte im Sommer in Hitzeinseln, stört den natürlichen Wasserhaushalt, verhindert den Zugang von Bodenlebewesen zu Nahrung, Luft und Wasser. Das hemmt die Biodiversität und beeinträchtigt damit nicht nur die Lebensräume von Tieren und Pflanzen, sondern auch die Lebensqualität der Menschen in der Stadt. Um lebenswerte und klimaresiliente Städte zu schaffen, müssen wir den Boden wieder atmen lassen und die Flächen ökologisch aufwerten.\n\nBeim Aktionstag \"Asphalt spalten\" verwandeln wir graue in grüne Flächen. Wir erfahren, warum Entsiegelung wichtig ist und setzen das Wissen direkt um, indem wir Asphalt aufbrechen, Erde lockern und neue Lebensräume für Pflanzen und Tiere schaffen. \n\nKonkret: In Absprache mit der Kantonsschule Wiedikon und der Lehrperson Anna Jablonkay hätten wir bereits eine motivierte Schulklasse an unserer Seite, 2027 in Rahmen der Projekttage der Schule Asphalt gemeinsam zu spalten. Dabei fehlen uns noch die Flächen. Ideal wäre es, Teile des Schulhofs zu entsiegeln. Durch bereits geführte Gespräche wissen wir, dass ich das schwer gestaltet. In den Fotos anbei findet Ihr unsere Gedanken dazu.\n\nWährend der Ideenschmiede im März habe ich mich mit David Christie, welcher eine ähnliche Projektidee hat (eine ganze Quartierstrasse als Beispiel asphaltarm umgestalten) ausgetauscht. Wir haben uns bewusst entschieden, diese beiden Projekte einzeln zu lassen. Wir hoffen sehr, dass dieses Thema als Themenblock inhaltlich bei der Wahl berücksichtig wird und hoffen auf mutige Unterstützung seitens der Stadt.\n\nNeben dem Workshop, welcher im September 2026 bereits stattfindet, haben wir bereits 2024 mit den Aktionstagen \"Spalt im Aspahlt\" an der Zentralwäscherei Asphalt entsiegeln und Knowhow und Erfahrung sammeln können.
