Pumpipumpe reloaded - Sharing community in the neighbourhood

We want to create a lively sharing community in the Pilot Quartier! With Pumpipump, we founded an analogue sharing community over 10 years ago, which is committed to more sustainable consumption patterns and more social interaction in urban neighbourhoods. Today, more than 25,000 households across Europe are taking part and showing what you can borrow from them with stickers on their mailboxes (and sometimes with an entry on our Map map.pumpipumpe.ch). Pumpipumpe wants to show abundance and raise awareness of the topic of sharing, directly in the entrance to the house, where all the neighbors pass by every day. In the meantime, we have launched a pilot app with "Züri Parts", which focuses on the quick search for the things you need to borrow. Here you can make loan requests to neighbors within a radius of 500m and look for things you need to borrow (instead of buy). As part of the "Future Urban Society" funding programme, we analysed the pilot together with the FHNW and would now like to incorporate these learnings into the project. We have a lot of ideas, would like to improve Züri Shares functions and incorporate them into Pumpipump! In this way, we can make lending and borrowing activities of a very local community more efficient in analogue and digital form and also make them more visible, show the potential of borrowing instead of buying in a stronger way and motivate more people to participate. We would like to test this in the pilot district, take up feedback and participation from neighbourhood residents in order to make it accessible to other neighbourhoods and cities.
