Gift parking

Since the Brocki-Land Steinstrasse closed in 2021, it has become apparent on the streets of Alt-Wiedikon that giving away is a need in the neighborhood. Unfortunately, many gifts to the neighborhood do not survive the next rain... The gift parking lot at the end of the street is a small shelter in which "no longer used" items can be deposited safely from rain. It is a take-in for everyday objects and small furniture. The project title says it all. It means: The space is there, we just have to act. The basic requirement of the project is that exchange halls in the style of Brocki-Land can be reached within walking distance for everyone in the district. Until the city can provide suitable premises, we are creating a close-knit network of alternatives. The gift car park as a pragmatic interim solution - or permanent installation - is the logical continuation of glass collection points, clothing containers and bookcases.
