What should be created?
- Core idea: Build a cooperative network of restaurateurs who bundle their purchasing and support each other in the transformation to net zero. Shared know-how: The pool serves as a platform for knowledge exchange. Experienced companies pass on their know-how about sustainable supply chains, reduction and efficient processes to others. Social & Fair Added Value: For guests and the neighbourhood: By purchasing together, high-quality organic and speciality products become more affordable. These price advantages are passed on directly to the guests so that sustainable food remains accessible to all social classes. For restaurateurs: Small businesses get access to fair conditions that are normally reserved for large businesses. Logistics efficiency: A defined pool of suppliers simplifies processes and massively reduces delivery traffic in the district. Scalability: The knowledge acquired in the pool is documented and made available as a "blueprint" for other districts in Zurich.
