We will continuously review the submitted ideas for feasibility and compliance with the rules.

Selecting favorites: The project ideas will be evaluated 50 percent by residents and 50 percent by a panel of experts.

Anyone who lives or works in Binz or Alt-Wiedikon, or who is interested in the district, can participate.

Following the idea voting, a jury meeting will take place in which an independent and interdisciplinary expert jury will cast its vote. The results of the jury and public voting will each be weighted 50 percent.

The selected ideas will be announced publicly and further developed into concrete projects in the next steps through teamwork.

We will work together to develop feasible projects from the selected ideas.

After the ideas have been voted on, the intensive work phase will begin in summer 2026: the selected ideas will be developed into technically, politically, and financially feasible projects or prototypes. Accompanied by experts and coaches, the teams will work on the projects for several weeks in co-creative workshops. The idea generators should definitely be part of the group.

At the end, a profile of each project with specific information will be created: What does the project look like, how will it be implemented, which actors will be involved, and how much will it cost?

The big decision: Which projects will be implemented? The best projects will be selected for implementation.

And you can take part in the decision again: The projects will once more be evaluated 50 percent by residents and 50 percent by the expert jury. The selection takes place as part of a simulation game. You can choose as many projects as you like until the total amount allocated for project implementation is reached.

The projects developed are implemented by the idea generators or local actors with the help of the specified budget.

For more comprehensive and complex projects, experts and practitioners from the fields of urban planning, architecture, landscape architecture, sustainability, etc. will be consulted. The project team will assist with preparation and planning as needed and appropriate to the project.

The implementation phase will begin in 2027 and last approximately two years.
