About this process
"Contributing to Zurich's Future" is the portal for the city's participation processes and the central platform for e-participation in the municipal administration. The basis for the participation platform "Contributing to Zurich Future" is the open source software decidim.org, which originated in Barcelona and is used successfully internationally. In addition to cities such as New York and Helsinki, several Swiss cities are also working with "Decidim". The city of Zurich benefits from mutual exchange and also contributes its experience. This exchange and the opportunity to mutually benefit from further developments are the main reasons why the City of Zurich has chosen an open source solution for "Contributing to Zurich's Future".
