Wichtige Hinweise zum Ausfüllen der Umfrage

  1. Das Ausfüllen der Umfrage kann schrittweise erfolgen, d.h. ein Zwischenstand kann gespeichert werden. Der Zwischenstand wird jedoch nur gespeichert, wenn Sie die Umfrage immer mit demselben Gerät und über denselben Browser öffnen und ausfüllen. Zur vereinfachten Datensammlung und Weitergabe innerhalb der Kulturinstitution kann die Umfrage als Word-Datei herunterladen und an mehrere Personen verteilt werden. Anschliessend bitte die Daten jedoch auf der Website eingetragen. 

  2. Kulturinstitutionen in Gebäuden der IMMO können die Fragen zu Renovation/Gebäudestand(14,15), Strom (18-21) und Wärme (22-24) und Kälte (25-27) auslassen.

Im Rahmen des Projekts «Klimabilanzierungen für Kulturinstitutionen» der Stadt Zürich sollen Kennzahlen und Informationen von 55 subventionierten Kulturinstitutionen erhoben werden.

Die Umfrage fragt Daten, Kennzahlen und Informationen zu Scope 1-3 ab (siehe weiter unten Abbildung, Erläuterungen)*. Die Umfrage konzentriert sich auf die Treibhausgasemissionen (THGE) von Wärme, dem eigenen Fuhrpark, Kältemittelverlusten, Strom, Kälte, Dampf (Scope 1-2). Zudem werden wichtige «Hot-Spot-Kategorien» der Kulturbranche in der vor- und nachgelagerten Wertschöpfungskette abgefragt – wie interne und externe Mobilität, eingekaufte Materialien sowie Lebensmittel/Getränke bzw. Catering/Barbetrieb (Scope 3). Auf dieser Grundlage werden die THGE im Scope 3 der Kulturbranche (alle subventionierten Kulturinstitutionen) in der Stadt Zürich geschätzt.

Individuelle Kurzberichte für jede teilnehmende Kulturinstitution:

Als Ergebnis der Umfrage erhält jede Kulturinstitution, die an der Umfrage teilnimmt, einen individuellen Kurzbericht zur Klimabilanzierung, der

  • die THGE von Wärme, der eigenen Fahrzeugflotte, Kältemittelverlusten, Strom, Kälte, Dampf sowie Publikumsmobilität aufzeigt

  • institutionstypische Handlungsfelder entlang der vor- und nachgelagerten Wertschöpfungskette (Scope 3) nennt und

  • mögliche Massnahmen zur Reduktion der THGE umfasst.

Der Kurzbericht ist keine detaillierte Klimabilanzierung, aber ausreichend, um den Handlungsbedarf (Hebel), dessen Priorisierung und Verantwortlichkeiten zu bestimmen. Sollten einzelne Kulturinstitutionen Interesse an einer detaillierten Klimabilanzierung (Scope 1-3) haben, bieten die Daten aus der Umfrage eine gute Grundlage. Sie könnten beispielsweise in den künftigen nationalen Kultur-CO2-Rechner eingegeben werden, dessen Veröffentlichung für das Frühjahr 2025 geplant ist. Für eine umfassende Klimabilanzierung werden zusätzliche Daten zur vor- und nachgelagerten Wertschöpfungskette (Scope 3) erforderlich sein. Aus Sicht der Kulturförderung der Stadt Zürich ist der Detaillierungsgrad des Kurzberichts ausreichend.

Carbon footprints for cultural institutions

As part of the City of Zurich's "Climate Accounting for Cultural Institutions" project, key figures and information from 55 subsidised cultural institutions are to be collected. (more information on the project, procedure, results, click on "Process" above)

The survey asks for key figures and information on Scope 1-3*. Scope 3 surveys important "hot spot categories" of the cultural sector in the upstream and downstream value chain – such as internal and external mobility, purchased materials as well as food/beverages or catering/bar operations. On this basis, the GHGE in Scope 3 of the cultural sector (funded institutions) in the city of Zurich are estimated.

Notes on completing the survey:

We recommend that all institutions go through the survey in its entirety in order to plan and coordinate the collection of the data.

The survey can be completed gradually, i.e. an intermediate result can be saved.

Please fill out all questions for the year 2023 or the 23/24 season, depending on which period best reflects the activities of your cultural institution.

If your cultural institution has more than one location, please fill out the survey per location. Locations are considered to be all premises regularly used by the facility, rented or owned. The "General Questions" block only needs to be filled in for the first location. This question block can then be skipped by clicking on "Already completed".

Data procurement: Many questions contain helpful information on data collection. For example, cultural institutions can gain access to the data they need through the homeowners or the administration, in particular information about heating, cooling and refrigeration systems as well as the building itself. Please also have your electricity bill ready.

Operational control: A cultural institution has operational control over its establishment if it has full authority to implement its operational policy in that establishment. According to the concept of operational control, a cultural institution accounts for 100% of the emissions from establishments over which it or one of its subsidiaries (if any) has operational control.

*The GHG Protocol Corporate Standard categorizes greenhouse gas emissions as Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions. Scope 1 is direct emissions caused directly by the company's own operations (e.g. owned vehicle fleet, heat produced on site, e.g. by an oil/gas heating system). Scope 2 is indirect emissions from purchased energy (e.g. purchase of electricity (electricity) or district heating). Scope 3 are indirect emissions from upstream and downstream activities (e.g. purchased materials or mobility).
