Buildings in the context of Net Zero 2040
#FokusEventAG Gebäude Pilot of a participatory website: Collecting Best Practices for Sustainable Construction
About this process
This process belongs to Klimaforum
Existing and new examples of projects that contribute to the 2040 net-zero goals must be made known in a simple, transparent way so that they can be copied, scaled, widely discussed and further improved. This participatory platform is intended to serve as a database and exchange platform.
Challenge
In the context of the first Climate Forum focus event "Buildings in the context of net-zero 2040", education/awareness-raising against the "not in my backyard" effect and the dissemination of best practices was identified as a potential field of action. Many and diverse examples of initiatives/projects in the context of net zero 2040 are already being planned or implemented in many places and with different approaches to action, or have already been realised in part. However, there is a lack of transparency and a simple, participatory exchange so that good examples can set a precedent, be imitated and further improved.
Goal
To change this, this platform was launched, promoted and operated, which allows examples to be taken up, presented and put into interaction with the population. The aim of this platform is that practical examples should serve as a source of ideas and motivate people to copy them. In the exchange with the population, experiences are exchanged, obstacles are removed and projects are further developed. In a first step, we want to collect the needs that such a platform has to fulfil by means of a survey.
