The platform "Participation in Zurich's future" is the participation portal of the city of Zurich.

Get involved in dialogue, have an influence, help shape the city, become active. You can do all of this in the participation portal "Taking part in Zurich's future". We are pleased to send you the invitation for the 3rd Echo Chamber «Open Space Concept Zurich-West».

Background:

Zurich-West is getting a new open space concept. The concept development consists of four sub-phases: Analysis – Target Image – Open Space Concept – Measures. In each of these phases, an echo chamber is carried out in which the content developed is mirrored and supplementary input for the next project steps is recorded.

Content and objectives of the 3rd echo chamber

The project is in the second sub-phase "Target Image". Based on a thematic and spatial analysis of Zurich-West, ten "mission statement spaces" were defined. These spaces are to be further developed according to their respective identities on the basis of concise guiding principles. The target image summarizes the vision for each of these rooms into an overarching overall picture. It should be both ambitious and feasible. 

In particular, we would like to collect your knowledge as well as your concerns and ideas in the group dialogue with regard to the mission statement rooms and their guiding principles.

The goals of the echo chamber are:

·         The process and the derivation of the target image is understandable to everyone.

         · The mission statement spaces, guiding principles and the overall target image have been discussed and supplemented.

At the end of the event, we would like to thank you for your commitment with a small aperitif.

About this process

Communication, Information, Participation (KIP)

Grün Stadt Zürich is revising the open space concept for Zurich-West created in 2011. The new concept is intended to coordinate the development of open spaces and plan new open spaces. The focus is on the green spaces.

Participation, dialogue and exchange with the general population takes place in the KIP vessels.

The aim is to inform and capture the mood. In order to reach as many different target groups as possible, a combination of different participation formats will be implemented. Digital tools, special campaigns such as neighbourhood tours, public information events and, if necessary, exhibitions are used here.
