Expansion of the Leutschenpark playground

About this process
The Leutschenpark will be significantly upgraded in the coming years. In addition to the ecological and urban climate upgrade, the range of uses, especially for children and young people, is also to be improved.
The park is experiencing an ecological and urban climate improvement through the optimisation of the growing conditions of the existing trees and the replanting of around 40, mostly native, trees. A large part of the paved areas will be converted into lawns, meadows and planting areas.
With additional furniture and equipment elements as well as the expansion of the playground, the possibilities of use will be improved.
A playground builder has been commissioned with the planning and implementation. The existing playground will be left in place and supplemented with new structures. The plan is to interweave natural and play elements. The diverse plantings thus become part of the game world.
