Participation in the redesign of Ausserdorfstrasse

Ausserdorfstrasse is to be redesigned together with the residents for less traffic and more greenery.

At the request of the district, the civil engineering department is drawing up plans for the redesign of Ausserdorfstrasse with the involvement of residents. The aim is to take measures to calm traffic and make the road climate-friendly. 

What can you expect?

In the first part of the event, residents will receive information about what makes Ausserdorfstrasse a meeting zone, what rules apply and what design options exist.

Afterwards, residents are invited to contribute their needs and concerns. The project team takes these and checks whether and how they can be incorporated into the planning.

A second event is planned for autumn 2026. It will be explained how the concerns raised have been taken into account and the status of the planning will be discussed with the residents.

From spring 2024 to 2025, a traffic and urban space concept for the western part of Seebach was developed together with the neighbourhood population. It also forms the overarching framework for the redesign of Ausserdorfstrasse. More information about the concept can be found on the project page.
