About this process
The race towards net-zero 2040 has begun and the societal change needed is enormous! Games provide a strong platform for both enlightenment and entertainment.
Challenge description:
Gamification is the use of gaming elements within non-gaming contexts to influence real-world behavior. Take features of games that keep players’ attention and apply them to real-world situations that otherwise might seem mundane or boring to increase engagement. These gaming building blocks are used to engage users, solve problems and drive specific behaviors.
Example at the City of Zurich:
An example would be the Foxtrail. People move through the city. Or the crime games that last a whole afternoon, take place in the city and entire SMEs participate.
